Stopped here for lunch after shopping at the outlets across the street. Pretty damn tasty in my opinion. I got the lunch special of the general tsos. It came with your choice of soup which I got the egg drop soup and fried rice. Soup was good. The general tsos was really good. It was made with all white meat which the waitress said all of their chicken dishes are all white meat which I like. The breading was crispy and the sauce was good but could've been a little spicier. My husband got the sweet and sour chicken with wonton soup and he liked it as well! I recommend this place for some good Chinese!

Got a sesame chicken combo to go. The fried rice didn't have a whole lot of flavor, but the chicken & eggroll were good. I'd definitely try it again.

We came here after seeing 4- and 5-star reviews on Google. I guess these reviewers' previous experience with Asian cuisine has been limited to La Choy and Panda Express. Our Krab Rangoon was chewy, not crispy, seeming as if they had been cooked long before and then reheated in an oven. Our pot of green tea had only two bags in it, so basically it tasted like hot water, even after steeping several minutes. The entrees were okay. Just okay. Nothing to write home about. I ordered chicken pad thai and requested a spice level of medium. It has no spice whatsoever. Thank goodness I had requested some Sriracha for our appetizers because this is the only thing that made my meal somewhat enjoyable. Also, no peanuts on the pad thai. Never had it anywhere without peanuts. It just didn't taste like any pad thai that I've had all over the country. My husband had orange-flavored chicken and it was okay, meaning not the best we've had, by a long shot. I gave the restaurant 2 stars because they do plate the entrees attractively, but I given a choice, I'd rather have food that tastes better than it looks instead of vise-versa. All in all, everything we ate was largely unremarkable.

First time here and ordered the General Tso's chicken and fried rice. The food was good, but as I ate along, I noticed what looked like a strand of hair about 3" long. Needless to say, I lost my appetite then and called the waitress. I showed her the hair, then she took my plate back in the kitchen. She came back and explained that it was not a hair, but a strand of bamboo. Even if it is, I still lost my appetite. So I asked her for my check, and she said you don't have to pay. I insisted since her service was good and that this happens to any restaurant every now and then. She said and apologized for the incident.

Nothing to write home about. The Thai Curry was ok. The Shrimp with Broccoli ok...the veggies weren't cooked beyond raw and I don't like them over done so it wasn't that. I'm not sure why this place gets 5 stars out of 5 while the rest of the Asian cuisine in the area gets 4.5 out of 5 makes me think it is all bad...boo

Love this place for takeout. Perfect if you're on the east end of Old 98. Reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service. Variety on menu. Food is not overly greasy like most Chinese restaurants. If you eat in, service can be a little slow, as there is usually only one server.

Very good food. Love their house fried rice. Enjoyed the General Tso shrimp and the honey walnut shrimp. My only complaint is that the last couple of times I've been there the servers aren't very happy to be there...but could be they've been having bad days. Other than that I would recommend the food.

Well this place looks like it might be great place for Asian Cuisine but the Do Not (or No Longer) have Sushi! So we didn't stay for dinner bc we were looking for Sushi!

Tucked away, delicious spot for some Chinese! Stands on par with the best Chinese in the area, cozy dining and the cheapest prices I've seen.

Egg rolls mediocre. Spring roll good. Eggplant & tofu dish 4/5. A very busy & understaffed Sunday dinner. She said it was very unusual. Vegetarian friendly. Lots of call-in/take-out customers waiting when I arrived. Lively ambiance, booths available, but far from quiet candlelight. Courteous service, but unrefined. Water tastes above average for the area where ocean water taste seeps into tap. Good menu selection & variety. Reminiscent of Seattle Chinatown Chinese restaurants. Beer & wine available, did not sample. I wish I'd known they do brown rice. I'll probably come back.

The food at Lin's was decent ... not among the best Asian I've had, but not among the worst either. We got take-out so I can't comment on atmosphere, etc., but it looked nice. We are likely to go back.

Ordered egg foo yung and it was disgusting! Had so many onions in it that it was inedible. When I mentioned it to the owner and showed her a plate covered in onions, she just shrugged her shoulders and said that it came in today that way!? Hot and sour soup was sweet and even the fried rice was loaded with onions. How can you ruin fried rice?? Terrible experience -

Vacationing near Destin and got the crave for Chinese. This place was very good! Ordered Gen Tso chicken, garlic chicken, krab Rangoon and a spring roll. Garlic chicken was too spicy for my wife but I like it spicy and it tasted great! She loved the Generals chicken. Rangoon's and the spring roll were great.

Cozy Asian diner with a very friendly staff. The food is very good however they like to use sugar. I don't like sweet food but I won't hold that against them because many people like sugary Asian food. I live in this area and come here frequently.

This place is a little gem, mind you, I can only write about the lunch experience so far but I was very pleasantly surprised by the interior (don't let the outside scare you away) and the friendly staff. The next big surprise was... the price! less then 7 bucks for the lunch special! The lunch special comes with soup (sweet and sour; egg drop or dumpling). The food comes in a very nice portion, not too big and certainly not too small. Very much recommended!

Only giving this one star because I can't give it zero. I ordered takeout and most of my food was inedible. The egg drop soup had so much corn starch in it that I could hardly get any in my spoon. Once I managed to try a taste, it was so bland I had to add two packets of soy sauce to make it palatable. The pork with garlic sauce looked appetizing, but upon closer inspection, I realized that most of the pork was still raw (rare, at best). The spicy Thai dumplings were okay, but after trying the first two dishes, my appetite was gone. Normally I will give a place a second chance, but Lin's got almost everything wrong. I won't go back.

This place used to be a for-sure stop every time we visited the Destin area, but they changed management and/or cooks and the quality of the food and service has declined. The wonton soup is still the best to be found. Our evaluation comes after visiting the place at least 6-7 times over the last few years. We will still probably go back and give it one more shot.

Very good prices. Decent service. Very clean!! I will be coming back for more. As for my experience today: nice atmosphere, good decor, and casual. The portions are nice. Great little hidden place. Right next to the new CVS across from the Silver Sands Outlets. Bring the family! Great wine selection and full service bar. Lunch menu available, as well. Servers could've been a little more attentive.

Very good Chinese food! I went here for a military retirement dinner. The family of the retiree reserved the whole restaurant and served the appetizers to the tables and the entrees buffet style. The crab rangoon was awesome! Great flavor in the filling. The spring rolls were not the best I have ever had, but no the worst. They served Happy Family and Beef with Asparagus as the main entrees. They also served chicken lo mein and white rice. There was a leafy vegetable served also that was fantastic! I tried a little of everything. All of it was great! If I am in the area again, I would go back. It's kind of a hike to go for Chinese from Fort Walton Beach.

Hostess asked us to move twice to make room for potential customers. Food was ok. No one smiles here. We were very thirsty (MSG?) for hours after meals.

I have never wrote a review for any restaurant in my entire life, but after entering this establishment I was appalled. The quality of this place is ridiculous. First of all the waiter was very rude, giving me and my friends attitude when we were just ordering water. No sort of hey or welcome how are you? "What do you want to drink?" That was it, and then when we did order, the food was of absolute disgust, the only decent order was the the appetizer for the crab rangoon. The dim sum was poor, I can tell that it was frozen then steamed back up. It was so mushy you couldn't even taste the dim sum. Then when the food did arrive no surprise that it ALL tasted the same. Each plate had the same design with a skinned and wrap around potato with some carrot trimmings and some parsley. I mean seriously, at least make the food a little more appetizing. I was in there for no more than 30 minutes because the food was so terrible I just wanted to leave. The top 100 sign that they have hung up by their door most likely got stolen, top 100 my ass. Sorry. Don't go here, that's your tip.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
